Farashaty is a business born purely from love. After searching high and low for material that would engage my young daughter to the same degree as English products, I decided to take matters in my own hands. As she grew, so did her requests, and so my ambitions. Bilingual story times, Arabic and bilingual activities, illustrating characters, Arabic children’s songs fun explanations of Islamic concepts… I continue to follow my childrens’ lead, which in turn, helps me tune in to what all families in my position are looking for.

The Arabic bilingual community in the West has changed drastically, and products catered to us have not been keeping up. Many of the parents hoping to teach their children Arabic have a weak background in it themselves, and sometimes have no background at all. Parents who do have a strong Arabic background find themselves needing to innovate in order to match the teaching styles of the West.

In my journey to help my family, and yours, I am constantly on the look-out for ideas that will help our children fall in love with Arabic so they can embrace it on their life journeys. As I set out on this journey, one product at a time, I sincerely hope you’ll join us.
